About Us
We're a country church, and we're not embarrassed by it. Overlook has stood on Windward Lane for years, and the families who built it are largely the families who still fill the pews — alongside newer neighbors who've found their way up the hill.
We hold to the old Free Will Baptist conviction that Christ's grace is offered freely to all who will come, and we try to preach it plainly and live it out practically — casseroles at the hospital, rides to appointments, a seat saved for you before you even ask for one.
Homecoming each August is the closest thing we have to a family reunion — old members travel back, there's special singing, and dinner on the grounds afterward that runs long past when it should. Easter starts before sunrise, out on the hillside, watching the same view that gave this place its name.
If you grew up in a church like this one, it'll feel familiar. If you didn't, come anyway. Nobody will make a fuss over what you're wearing.
